This is a first

Ask me if I ever thought I'd be blogging and I'd tell you flat out "no." Yet, here I am writing my first enty. Why? Why start one now? Part boredom, part curiosity, part need to have a place to put down my thoughts. At 33, I'm in a pretty great place in my life. For the past 4 years, I've been married to the most wonderful man I've ever known. We've been blessed with a beautiful daughter who is now 2. She is the light of our lives. (Be it now stated that this blog will contain a bounty of Emma anecdotes...some funny, some just a mother's perogative.) We have a nice home and live a pretty decent life for two working professionals. We belong to a good church, have a great Sunday school class and fantastic friends. Sounds boringly charmed, right? Well, for the most part it is and that's okay. To be honest, I think I've paid quite a few dues to get a bit of the easy life.
